The Art of Ceremony
Ceremony helps us to bring the Sacred into everyday living, as we take time to connect with Spirit and the wisdom that every moment and every being is sacred.
Ceremony builds bridges from where you are to what you envision by energizing the positive presence of the unseen world in one’s life. Ceremony has the power to transform on both a personal and collective level.
In ceremony we elevate to a different energy dimension that is resourced in service to the earth, our communities, ourselves.
With 100 acres and many ceremonial sites, the land surrounding StarHouse supports students and practitioners with powerful, embodied learning experiences.
Because nature lends itself to ceremony, we also work with students on the Earth Star land surrounding StarHouse. Plan to be outside for part of every meeting, practicing new skills using the magic inherent in nature.

The Training
- Access your innate ability to create with the mysteries of Earth Wisdom and Celestial Wisdom.
- Create and hold sacred space for spiritual/physical/emotional insight and healing.

- Practice transformational Earth Reiki.

You will be capable of working with altars, energetic protection and sensing, holding sacred space and leading sacred work. You will learn to use intuition, senses, and self-management to weave the expected and unexpected in a ceremonial context, knowing how to follow and build appropriate energetic flow in ceremony.
You will be prepared to bring public ceremony forth into your family, community, and world to further the personal, collective, and Earth healing needed in our times.

Steeped in the StarHouse lineage of the Path of Ceremonial Arts for Men and Women, your facilitators, Candice Knight and Susie Kincade invite you to this exciting discovery and development of the ceremonial artist with you.
What do you do when you hear the earth calling you? Some might hide, deny, or distract; I did for many years. Then, I enrolled in the StarHouse’s Path of the Ceremonial Arts training. There, I learned how to listen and actively converse with the Earth, her energies, and the mystical forces of the unseen world. I built ceremonial skills that grew as I worked with indigenous Utes. The conversation matured and I trained to be a nature-based personal coach and wilderness guide. Along the way I formed Women’s Empowerment Workshop, connecting girls and women to their inner wisdom through nature adventure, retreats and coaching, woven with earth-based ceremonies for all life’s passages.
Ceremony deepens my life as a StarHouse Minister, a climate and wilderness activist, author, and teacher of ceremony and earth-connected living.
In the words of a Havasupai elder spoken to us at Standing Rock: “Your life is a ceremony. You must live it this way.” I look forward to sharing this sacred art with you.
After 30 years of teaching young children, parents and educators I experienced hearing an “inner call” to move to Boulder Colorado. It was so profound I could not dismiss it. Little did I know by following, my whole life would change. This journey brought me to The StarHouse where I began a new way of engaging with the unseen energies that are always available to support us. The Path of Ceremonial Arts program assisted in my embodiment of the Sacred Art of Ceremony. On completion of PCA I became a facilitator of the program for 15 years and then a Minister of The StarHouse. My attention became focused on assisting people to create meaningful ceremony in their lives to mark the important transitions in life.
Ceremonies for Sacred Living was born from this desire.. My joy is to co-create with others, helping to make life’s threshold moments sacred.
