Chrysalis Circle supports Middle and High School girls to explore and develop the woman blossoming within them through deep Earth connection. This six-day program guides young women, ages 11-16, on a journey to discover and connect to their core being, find their authentic voice, gain confidence, explore their mind-body-spirit connection through exhilarating adventures in nature. Girls will leave this camp with a much deeper understanding of the four pillars of Chrysalis: Strength, Courage, Confidence, and Resilience.
Each day integrates activities in nature, creative arts, personal awareness and earth connection, leadership and communication skills, and time for introspection. Rafting, journalling, rock climbing, hiking, outdoor skills, inner awareness, communication and mindfulness are a few of the activities designed to give girls lifelong tools, help them embrace their passage into womanhood, and understand their power and connection to all of life on earth.
Chrysalis II – runs concurrently and as part of our Chrysalis Circle. Girls who have participated in Chrysalis Circle in the past will learn additional skills in outdoor lore and living as well as one-on-one personal coaching; and deepening in to leadership and communication skills.
One overnight on the final day of camp gives the girls a chance to learn about creating Council and Ritual, and together they’ll create a celebratory ceremony.
Girls form an amazingly strong bond during this week of nature-based learning and often want to continue meeting. We will offer extended learning opportunities throughout the school year. Ceremonies in nature, rites of passage and continued mentoring are part of our commitment to Chrysalis Girls and the extended value of this program!

An athlete, mother and marketing executive, I was happily rolling through life when the unimaginable happened…
There I was, rafting the Grand Canyon with dear friends, a trip where I planned to ride along as my husband rowed our raft; 21 days of heaven where I hoped that together we’d iron out the wrinkles in our marriage. On day three, amidst my tears of protest, I watched him climb into a kayak and paddle off to have his “own river trip!” It was the turning point in my life.
Though I had little experience in wild whitewater, I rowed our raft down the Grand Canyon, discovering along the way that I had everything I needed within me. This wisdom has served me in every challenge I’ve faced! I still credit my now ex-husband for giving me the most empowering gift of my life!
Using this experience as the springboard, I stepped into my full potential, tentatively at first and then with fierce passion. I became a certified nature-connected coach and founded Women’s Empowerment Workshop where I now run nature adventure retreats, workshops and personal coaching to empower women and girls.
Through rafting, hiking, rock climbing and other adventures, I guide people to their inner wisdom, strength, courage and confidence, helping them discover their own treasures that lie within.
